Domaine des Bouzons Cotes du Rhone 2016

This is a beautiful white wine that is made from the producer Domaine Bouzon, primarily known for their reds. The Belle Font goes through a slow and cold fermentation for 12 days in stainless steel. 20% of the wine is then aged in one year old oak barrels which just lends roundness to the wine. This blend of Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Viognier is a juicy fruit cocktail of melons, pineapple, pears and crisp apple tones. Bone dry and lovely, this is supremely versatile wine that can be used in a variety of applications. My favorite would be a warm day on a lounge chair with sand between my toes!
