Fleshy ripe cherry aromas that get pleasantly tart on the palate of this Chianti made from the Sangiovese grape. Medium- to almost full-bodied, supple and mouth-watering with lots of acidity for food such as pasta in tomato sauce. Finishes with pepper, coffee and smoke. Superb value. Food pairings: slow-roasted lamb shank, braised pork shoulder, pasta in tomato sauce.
