Family-owned Pedroncelli Winery in Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley has a well-earned reputation for producing high-quality wines that over-deliver for the price. This 2013 merlot is no exception. The fruit comes from the estate vineyard in Dry Creek Valley and from one nearby grower. The wine is lively and medium-bodied, with black cherry fruit, baking spices (especially clove), a mocha note and firm but approachable tannins.
