Finca Enguera Crianza 2012

Bodegas Enguera is a relatively new winery, founded in 1999, with almost four hundred acres of vineyards spread over two areas – one in Fontanars dels Alforins and the other in Enguera, both about an hour southwest of Valencia city in the province of Valencia. Young Valencian winemaker Diego Fernandez has travelled widely, making wines in France, Australia and California and over the last three years has worked hard to maintain the vineyards without using any chemicals. A blend of Monastrell (Mourvedre) and Tempranillo, Finca Enguera is an excellent introduction to the wines of this region; it shows lovely dark berry fruit with savory complexity.
