Prosecco – Italian wine, dry, sparkling. It is made from Glera grapes (until 2009 Prosecco was used as a synonym for the variety name; according to Regulation EC No. 1166/2009, the variety is called Glera, and the Prosecco name can only be used as a wine name), sometimes with the addition of Verdiso, Perera and Bianchetta varieties. Produced in 9 Italian provinces in the regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto.
