Lamoreaux Landing Riesling Semi Dry 2013

This pale straw colored Riesling from the Finger Lakes is very unique. It opens with a mild lemon and tangerine like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full-bodied and caries it weight throughout. It’s also slightly acidic, yet viscous and round. The flavor profile is a mild grapefruit with notes of lemon and lime. It reminds me of a rich Sauvignon Blanc. The finish is semi-dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This Riesling is food friendly and would pair well with halibut with a lobster cream sauce or stripped sea bass.
