Clos Agnes Chardonnay

A floral opening of anise and lavender evolves to a buttery middle before the wine becomes disjointed, rough and harsh on the palate. The wine smells terrific, with floral accents to the ripe pear and golden apple fruit. On the palate, grainy pear and Honeycrisp apple fruit get lift from a squirt of fresh lemon and richness from a nice layer of buttered toast. Finishes clean and dry and inviting you back for more.
